It's heartbreaking to see these lovely old buildings in such a sorry state.
It's pains us at Glasgow Live to even think about the number of buildings we've lost in the city down the years due to neglect and lack of funds, but it's so important that we are kept informed about which landmarks are at risk.
And while some may argue that building restoration should be low on our list of priorities during the cost-of-living crisis we are experiencing at present, it really is unacceptable that we've allowed so many of Glasgow's greatest architectural assets fall into such desperate states of disrepair in the first place.
The cinema hasn't been used to show films since the 1960s, but has survived the decades as a bingo and a warehouse. Now much of it lies empty, save for the ground floor portion, which is used by Lalli Fashion House.
