Record high temperatures this winter have impacted Australia's snow season, with images from one ski resort showing conditions at its worst.
Tasmania’s Ben Lomond Alpine Resort has faced a particularly dry season, with little snow on its slopes impacting the state's normally attractive ski fields.
Having not operated ski lifts in weeks, Mr Mock said the"disappointing" snow season has impacted both tourism and business revenue, making it harder to keep staff. However despite a quiet period, Mr Mock said he is hopeful the business will see enough snowfall to get back up and running before the ski season ends.
"Last year we had some good snowfalls in November and December of up to half a metre, so anything can happen."
