The Lockyer Valley man, in his 60s, was believed to have been bitten by an eastern brown snake.
A man has died after he was bitten by a snake in the Lockyer Valley, about 50 kilometres west of Brisbane.
“I live in Laidley town and both my neighbours on either side of me have lost dogs [to snake bites] over the last few years,” she said. “We actually have the highest population of eastern browns compared to, say, Brisbane or the Gold Coast,” he said.
