Hemipshere, an Australasian-inspired restaurant, has dishes that don't appear on any other menu across Notts
Paul Thacker and kitchen team at Hemisphere in West Bridgford restaurant Hemisphere will have you drooling before you even begin to taste the dishes. Lobster jungle curry with coconut arancini, pichana beef served on a hot rock, and miso-glazed black cod are some of the delights diners have to look forward to in the evenings.
Hemisphere will open above Iceland in Tudor Square, in what was once Indian restaurant Shalimar. It closed down around four years ago and has remained empty until now. Not a shred of the former curry house remains after a three-month makeover. Two tasting menus, with one pure indulgence, are on offer for groups of four or more, priced £40 to £60 per person.
Hemisphere is a dream come true for chef of 27 years, Paul Thacker, who spent much of his career at Chino Latino, the restaurant attached to Nottingham's Park Plaza Hotel in Maid Marian Way.
With opening day, Friday, October 25, fast approaching and nearly 800 bookings since opening up reservations, family and friends have all hands on deck to put the finishes touches to the 50-seater restaurant, that has been furnished with neutral tones, crocodile green walls and splashes of colour from the array of pot plants.
