Snow is likely to fall on Sunday
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow across the whole of Yorkshire, including Leeds. The warning, which will come into place on Sunday, December 18, predicts a period of snow will lead to travel disruption before turning to rain later in the day.
The warning is in place from 3am until 9pm on Sunday. The Met Office has forecast potential travel delays on roads and stranding of vehicles and passengers. due to adverse weather conditions. Power cuts may also occur and there is a chance of injury, Yorkshire ambulance services have stressed that families check on elderly or vulnerable relatives as the weather gets colder.The Met Office say: "A period of snow will lead to some disruption to travel and other activities, before turning to rain later.
