1990s punk band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes just put a savage spin on one of Selena ’s most soulful songs, “I Could Fall in Love.” While the late, great Queen of Tejano's original ballad is slow, soft and sensuous, the Gimme Gimmes transform the song into a rapid-fire rhythm with crunchy riffs, a dancing bass line, an airtight drum section, and powerful yet passionate vocal prowess from the band’s lead singer, Spike Slawson .
