Lesley McDonald, chair of the IJB, said that members of the IJB are facing difficult choices and must ensure that vulnerable people are protected.“But the hard truth is that we don’t have enough money to run and sustain services the way they are currently organised.
“Equally, however, we recognise that we have a responsibility to fully acknowledge and deal with the reality of the situation, particularly if we are to protect services and support for the most vulnerable and at-risk individuals in our communities.”
