Splash me once, shame on you; splash me twice, shame on me.

Parma Heights’ Greenbriar Commons pool complex includes a lap pool, diving area, children’s activity pool and dual water slides. Parma Heights Recreation Director Madi Bacci announced effective July 1 the Greenbrier Commons amenity will only allow non-residents on an invite-only basis.“In the past, our residents and members were having issues with the long lines we get at our pool facility because we do still allow non-residents,” she said.

“From those weekends alone, we received a lot of feedback from residents -- and just what we saw -- that non-resident daily passes were still a concern for agitation toward our staff, as well as breaking of pool rules,” she said. The rec director clarified that residents can still bring in up to two non-resident guests daily.

“So we’re not banning non-residents to any of our special events -- Swim Cinema, lifeguarding class, Red Cross swim lessons and Christmas in July.”In terms of the future of the non-resident daily pass, Bacci said she’s “pretty science-brained” with the idea this summer will be the control year.
