A sports car has been seized by road officers after the driver was spotted 'racing' other vehicles on the M74.

Officers pulled over the grey luxury vehicle on July 22, on the busy motorway near Dalmarnock. The driver was subsequently arrested after police say he allegedly failed a roadside drug test. Road Police Scotland reportedly seized the vehicle under the Anti-social Behaviour Act. It comes as the force reported a busy period with drivers stopped for drink driving, drug driving, road traffic offences and dangerous driving. A spokesperson for Road Police Glasgow said: "Glasgow Road Police had a busy 24 hours responding to a wide range of incidents, from 999 calls to vehicle pursuits. Some folk continue to put others at risk, ignoring our Don't Risk It advice advice; they either walk home or end up in a room with no view out of harms way."
