A leaked image suggests that SRAM's upcoming Force groupset will adopt similar design elements to its high-end RED group, including redesigned shifters and brake calipers. The leak also hints at the potential for continued 12-speed compatibility, allowing riders to upgrade their systems while maintaining compatibility with existing drivetrain components.

A picture leaked on the Weight Weenies forum suggests that SRAM might soon be bringing its new Force groupset closer to the performance and aesthetics of its top-tier RED group. The image shows what appears to be a new Force groupset, with shifters that resemble the recently launched RED shifters in shape. The brake calipers also seem very similar, though lacking the machined holes found on the RED calipers and sporting different rotors.

Notably absent from the photo is a cassette, but given that SRAM RED is still utilizing 12-speed cassettes compatible with existing SRAM 12-speed AXS groups, it wouldn't be surprising to see Force follow suit. This approach would allow riders to maintain compatibility with existing chains, cassettes, and chainrings while benefitting from the improved ergonomics and braking performance introduced with RED. SRAM has a history of efficiently transferring technology from its flagship groups to its mid-tier offerings, so it wouldn't be unusual to see this Force groupset on bikes later this year. This would be a welcome development for SRAM, considering the overwhelmingly positive reception to the new lever shape and brake performance of the RED groupset
