The 28-year-old was also charged with a breach of the peace at a takeaway shop in Queen Street in the early hours of Thursday, September 9.
The news comes after the club said he had been suspended after he disclosed his involvement in an alleged incident that is said to have taken place last week.
The Scot, who is understood to be dating tennis player Heather Watson, has made ten appearances for the Paisley side this season, and netted on his debut in the Europa Conference League qualifier against Icelandic cracks Valur. The Scottish Premiership club released a shock statement last night. It read: "Officials at the Paisley Saints will conduct a full investigation into the incident, and say they will be making no further comment during their probe."
