Stacey Dooley’s ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott claims she is ‘dating’ Strictly Come Dancing’s Kevin Clifton after ‘finding secret text on her phone’
: ‘I was getting my stuff to leave. Stacey was in the loo. Her phone went and it was Kevin Clifton. I grabbed the phone and confronted her. She said she’d tell me everything I needed to know.’He went on to say that Stacey told him she didn’t start ‘entertaining’ Kevin until they had split up.
‘I did fall for him but when we were done,’ Sam claims the presenter said. He replied: ‘I don’t hate you Stacey. I hate what you’ve done.’It was originally reported that Stacey was ‘struggling’ to maintain their relationship while on the road with the Strictly stars for the UK tour. Sources told the paper: ‘Stacey confided in her friends that she was struggling to hold down her romance with Sam because her life has been a whirlwind after Strictly.‘She barely saw him during the month-long tour and has gone straight back into filming documentaries and has been travelling all over the world.’
They claimed at the time that the break up had been ‘tough’ on both Stacey and Sam and a reconciliation was ‘not looking likely’, adding: ‘Their lives have just gone in different directions.’Sam said: ‘We were meant to be for ever but that wasn’t the case. I said to her, “You’ve broken my heart,” but I’ve just got to accept that she’s chosen to go down another road.’Stacey and Kevin competed together on Strictly last year and went on to win the show.
