The 'supercell' storm hit southern states in America, destroying buildings and leaving hundreds of thousands without power.
Authorities in Mississippi announced late Saturday afternoon that the state's death toll had risen from 23 to 25.Emergency officials said hail the size of golf balls formed as the tornadoes moved through several southern states. The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado caused damage about 60 miles north-east of Jackson, Mississippi.
