Trent Alexander-Arnold channelled his inner Steven Gerrard during the 3-0 win over Manchester United as he kissed the pitchside camera
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has sent a message to Trent Alexander-Arnold after he paid homage to his iconic Old Trafford celebration. The Reds full-back thought he opened the scoring after six minutes and wheeled off to the camera, kissing the lens to re-enact the memorable moments from previous clashes with Manchester United.
He was animated at full-time as he thanked the travelling Liverpool supporters, blowing three kisses and reminding them of the three-goal scoreline. Despite being left frustrated by the intervention of the video assistant, he was in fine spirits and posted a blowing kiss emoji to his 11.6million followers. Gerrard returned the favour, commenting the same emoji but as the camera followed him at full-time, the 25-year-old was all smiles and had a parting message for the cameraman.
