Steven Gerrard has revealed he sought the advice of legendary Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson after being sacked by Aston Villa in October 2022.
The former Liverpool midfielder landed his next job in management at Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq last summer, having taken close to a year out of the game to recover from his first major setback as a coach. Helping the 43-year-old through this process was none other than Ferguson, who Gerrard reached out to as he attempted to get his managerial career back on track.
