Tropical Cyclone Ilsa has left a trail of destruction in Western Australia, with Bureau officials indicating it could be the strongest wind gust recorded by its equipment in Australia.
Ilsa, which crossed the coast of WA as a category five cyclone on Thursday night, has since been downgraded to category two but is forecast to maintain tropical cyclone intensity as it tracks further inland.
"We are all still a bit shaken and emotional to see the damage from Cyclone Ilsa. She may have wiped us out, but she can't take away our spirit," the Facebook post read. Picture: Pardoo Roadhouse/Facebook A cyclone warning is still place for areas of the far eastern Pilbara, including Telfer, and areas over the North Interior, including Punmu, Parnngurr, Kunawarritji and Kiwirrkurra.
