The Merseyside derby is off but Scotland is expected to escape the worst of the extreme weather
It seems unlike during Storm Bert a couple of weeks ago, Scotland is escaping the worst of Storm Darragh. Then, it was the big freeze that picked off games across the country, one by one. Some were called off as late as 2.30pm, leaving fans fuming and their ire directed at the SPFL . This time however, it seems that most of the card will survive.
It's already claimed to be the game of the weekend down south. Everton were due to host Premier League leaders Liverpool for the final time at Goodison Park. The famous old ground is having it's swan song season before the Toffees move into their new home on the river next term. But given the safety warnings in place due to the storm, the Merseyside derby was called off this morning.
