McGill's, the Glasgow bus operator, has confirmed it will not be running services between 9 am and 6 pm on Friday due to the storm. Glasgow Clan has confirmed that its match on Friday against Fife Flyers has been postponed due to the weather. Anyone with tickets can use them at the rearranged fixture and refund requests can be made with the club directly. The warning will involve a 'loud siren' and will go off at 6 pm. The storm is set to bring gusts of nearly 90 mph to the city. The Cabinet Office has issued Emergency Alerts to people affected by the warnings in Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland. Blood donor centres in Glasgow will be closed tomorrow due to Storm Éowyn. Aberdeen and Dundee Donor Centres remain OPEN - please travel with care. The University of Strathclyde campus in Glasgow will be closed on Friday due to Storm Éowyn and the associated red weather warning for wind. Public libraries, galleries, and gyms operated by Glasgow Life are expected to reopen on Saturday morning. The venues will close as normal tonight and not reopen on Friday due to Storm Éowyn and the Met Office red weather warning for high winds. Glasgow Libraries, along with the southside's Tramway gallery and Glasgow Club gyms all confirmed they expect to reopen on Saturday morning. All Glasgow Life venues will close as normal tonight and will not open on Friday, January 24, due to the red weather warning issued because of Storm Éowyn. They expect to welcome visitors back on Saturday morning at normal opening times and will issue any further updates via social media
