The Watford Community Safety Partnership, which brings together a number of organisations including councils and police, has identified the road in west Watford as an area that needs addressing.It is used regularly by cyclists, pedestrians, and schoolchildren at Chater Junior School travelling between Durban Road East and Addiscombe Road.Outlining the proposal, the partnership said: “This is a well-used and popular route to access west Watford.

“Local children and lone women will be able to use the walkway without fear of drug dealers and street drinkers approaching them.”
