The Love Island star wants more representation for the deaf community following Strictly final

The Strictly Come Dancing final aired on Saturday , where the public voted for comedian Chris McCausland and professional partner Dianne Buswell to be the ones to lift that Glitterball trophy.

Following the final Tasha took to her Instagram to thank Aljaž for getting her so far in the competition: "You made magic beautiful dances that'll be remembered for a long time from our American smooth, waltz, show dance and many more", before adding: "Everyday we laughed and smiled, you are what 'Strictly' is all about – your passion and positivity radiates from within on this show.

It was an emotional final indeed, with the BBC show surprising Tasha by flying her brother over from Australia to watch her dance. The timing couldn't have been more perfect as after achieving a perfect 40 score during her American Smooth to Someone You Loved by Lewis Capaldi, judge Anton Du Beke told Ghouri: "I think you’re the best dancer we’ve ever had on Strictly. You’re an amazing talent.

Tasha, who was born deaf and wears a cochlear implant, said: "I would love to do more TV and do a documentary around ableism and delve into that subject", before adding that "representation has got much better but more still needs to be done. It should be the norm, not a surprise."
