Strictly Come Dancing pro Lauren Oakley was forced to defend herself on Wednesday night
BBC Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Lauren Oakley had to stand her ground over her stage conduct with celebrity dance partner JB Gill this evening after facing questions about her rigorous training approach. The JLS frontman joined host Janette Manrara on Strictly It Takes Two where he and Lauren discussed their progress in the competition.
During their discussion, Manrara remarked: "You told Claudia in the Clauditorium that you were screaming 'just push! ', to JB at the end of the routine and giving him every ounce of energy that you could." She then added, teasingly: "Lauren's a bit of a screamer this year everyone." She continued: "Because we're already really tired halfway through the routine, so it's really important to keep switched on to the end. And reap the benefits." Enthusiastic fans quickly took to Twitter to praise Lauren's candid admission, with one tweeting, under the handle @rozlaws: "Love @laurenmayoakley's proper Brummie screaming. YES BAB! ".
