Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly faced her own battle away from the dance floor during the emotionally charged semi-final, her husband Vernon Kay has revealed. The star shared how Tess bravely held back tears on live television following an incredibly moving tribute.
And while Chris was visibly moved, Tess also struggled to maintain composure as the camera returned to her. Speaking to The Sun, Vernon elaborated on his wife's emotional reaction. He continued to commend Chris' achievements, before reflecting on Dianne's heartfelt words: "It just struck a cord and touched everyone in the studio. Tess was in tears and she had to really fight back tears when she did the next link to introduce the next dancer," reports the Mirror.
Speaking candidly to the hosts, Chris confessed that he hadn't bounced back from the weekend's performances, sharing, "I haven't really truly recovered. It's been an emotional few days this week for me."
