Nick Knowles, famed for his role on BBC 's DIY SOS, has opened up about a devastating realisation he had following a heartbreaking loss.
He said: "They all come from my dad and then suddenly with the stroke, he was very emotional and would cry. And I found that incredibly difficult so I didn't visit him when he was in the care home as much as I should've done in the last year of his life." "You know, I love my dad; I enjoyed his company; we had great times together and every time I think of him, it makes me sad. I've got to switch this around because I wanna think of him and smile."
He also confessed he "felt awful about the fact I hadn't done enough". Nick elaborated on his decision to confront the challenging aspects of illness and disability, striving to "represent people".
