Mobile’s share would be $3.048 million over three years. But the price tag would climb after a federal grant that would defray part of the cost during the ramp-up years expires.
“We’re pretty conservative,” he said. “I like our numbers. I think this produces a hundred passengers a day, minimum.” Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey initially rejected giving state money for the project, but city officials and business leaders have urged her to reconsider.
