Subway has been a hot topic of discussion on Reddit – as some fast food fans aren't happy with a change that's been rolled out in stores. Here's all you need to know

When the high-street favourite added touch screens to some of its stores, the response was definitely mixed. Critics think the technology is longer to use, takes up unnecessary space and is less hygienic than requesting food at the counter.

"Now, like everywhere else we've got these absolute bacteria breeding grounds of touch screen order points that take up space, slow everything down, and people struggle to navigate. Another was unimpressed with changes at their local store, noting: "I always quite liked Subway despite it seeming so unpopular but the last time I went there, it seemed to have gone massively downhill. So expensive now too."

One pointed out: "I would expect this to improve things. The slowest part is always the making, but it's not helped by the person in front of you being 'I'll have a............ BLT please... Length? Oh, hmmm, um... 6 inch please.... Oh no, you know what, let's make it a footlong.... Hmm, sorry?...'"
