The City of Brook Park will host multiple summer events, including several free concerts, a picnic and the annual Home Days.
BROOK PARK, Ohio -- The city is rolling out an expanded lineup of summer events and concerts this year, offering residents a season filled with free live music, movies and fireworks.Picnic in the ParkThe kickoff to Brook Park’s summer events will include an afternoon of food, music and games. City officials advise bringing lawn chairs or picnic blankets.The city is hosting four free concerts at the amphitheater, on June 14, July 26, Aug. 16 and Sept. 13.
The concerts in the park, which will also include food trucks and inflatables, will go from 6 to 10 p.m.Residents can enjoy an extra day of fun for the 2024 Home Days, as the annual event has been extended to three days this year.Home Days will be held July 12, 13 and 14, with fireworks scheduled for the last night.• Hit Pitch & Run July 12Chris Wetmore, the city’s director of parks and recreation, said there will be“We’ve increased the amount of events significantly,” Wetmore said.
“The first event will be the 5K and Picnic in the Park on June 8. So we have quite a fun summer planned.”“What’s fun about these events is we bring in inflatables,” he said. “The kids can play and enjoy the evening as well as the parents, who can also relax while the kids are safe and having a good time.
