Today is another day to get outside and soak up the sunshine across Southcentral, as temperatures are set to return back into the upper 30s and lower 40s.

With clear skies and highs in the 20s, all is quiet this morning across Southcentral. While a few locations through the northern Susitna Valley and Copper River Basin are in the teens this morning, everyone will see temperatures rebound nicely into the afternoon hours. A lingering area of low pressure in the eastern Gulf of Alaska will keep some scattered wintry mix around for Prince William Sound, while the rest of Southcentral stays dry.
Snow and areas of wintry mix return to coastal regions tonight, with inland areas of Southcentral expected to see the return to snow through the day Tuesday. While any snow chances look to highly favor the eastern Kenai and western Prince William Sound, inland locations will see some isolated to scattered snow showers. At this time, it’s looking likely that Anchorage will see a trace to an inch of accumulation, as the atmospheric dynamics don’t really favor heavier snowfall.
