Only two stores will keep the self-checkout machines
A supermarket chain has almost completely eliminated self-service machines from most of its locations.
According to the supermarket, the move was done because it believes that human colleagues are better at delivering a positive "customer experience" compared to a self-checkout machine. The self-checkouts will only remain in the two stores where they are deemed necessary for "very busy periods", Wales Online reports.
