Regan Poole believes his time at Manchester United played a key part in him earning his international debut for Wales this week
Wales international Regan Poole believes his 'shock' transfer to Manchester United proved pivotal in him realising his international dream.
His only senior action came as a late sub in a 5-1 Europa League victory over Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2016, a game when Marcus Rashford announced his arrival with a brace. Poole and Rashford were good pals at the time and the centre back believes his £100,000 move to United was crucial in shaping his career.
“I was at such a young age when the move came about. It was such a shock, but it was something I had to do. I look back on my time there and they improved me so much as a person and as a player.
