A male suspect and his female hostage have been taken to a local hospital following a shootout with police at the at Arista Flats in Broomfield.
An active shooter on the loose at an apartment complex in Colorado has been apprehended following a shootout with police.
Upon arrival they heard 'a male making threats' and heard gunshots which were fired at surrounding units and into the parking lot.Police were called to the Arista Flats in Broomfield on Thursday Broomfield is located 16 miles away from Denver, on the opposite side of the city to Aurora, where a migrant gang took over an apartment complex.
'Took the dog out as usual, just before 8 o'clock out of my patio and as soon as I put her down on the grass, I heard,"Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!"' the resident said.
