Svar DOS was essentially a distribution of Free DOS , tailored to run on even the most basic 8086 or 8088 PCs. It came in four 360kB floppy images or a 1.4MB disk image, requiring no 386-class CPU or CD-ROM drive. A notable release, it was known for being able to run MS Word 6 for DOS , even in graphics mode with WYSIWYG.
