They say their refusal to 'compromise on quality' makes the business no longer viable
A Nottingham takeaway and cafe that prides itself on healthy eating has made the sad announcement that it is to close after seven years. Clean Cut Kitchen hasn't set a date yet but said it was a "hard decision" to close the store in Pelham Street.
"Unfortunately, the cost of this authenticity has now become too high to make the business viable. Compromising on this quality would take away from what we set out to achieve and although we still strongly believe there is a demand for what we offer, the location at Pelham Street isn’t quite right for what we do.
Clean Cut Kitchen first opened at the bottom of Derby Road, Nottingham, in 2017 and at the start there were queues down the road with customers eager to try a new kind of takeaway in the city instead of the usual fast food. Another happy customer described it as a "gem" after ordering a Buddha bowl with crispy tofu. They said: "We were so impressed with the options for us and how customisable they are. The tofu was so good and actually crispy which is surprisingly rare
