Two others were hurt and two people have been arrested
A teacher has died and two people have been left injured after a stabbing at a school in France. French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin said the attack happened at the Gambetta high school in the city of Arras.
Writing on X he said: "A police operation took place at the Gambetta high school in Arras. The perpetrator was arrested by the police." Local officials say the attacker has been arrested and French channel BFMTV reported the brother of the attacker has also been arrested. The teacher killed is reported to have been a French language teacher while a sports teacher was also stabbed in the incident. Local media says the attacker, aged around 22, was a former pupil. Police say the incident is under control.
