The 18-year-old victim was reportedly robbed of his bank cards in the vicious attack
Four people have been arrested after a teenager was beaten with a baseball bat at Birkenhead bus station.
Merseyside police were called to the bus station on Conway Street at 1pm yesterday, May 2, to reports of a man being "assaulted with weapons". The victim, an 18-year-old man, was reportedly robbed of his bank cards in the vicious attack, which police believe followed an earlier incident at Birkenhead Market. He suffered injuries to his face and ribs, and was taken to hospital.
"Although four people have been arrested, our investigation is in its early stages. Violence has no place in our communities and we will act on all information we receive to identify those involved." Anyone with information can contact police @MerPoLCC, 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with reference 24000399861.
