A 19-year-old has been charged with the murder of a woman who died after being hit by a car.
The woman, 52, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to Whitegates Caravan Park on Station Road, Dunscroft, near Doncaster, on Friday, South Yorkshire Police said. Officers said the car involved fled but and police recovered a red Citroen Berlingo a short time later.Teenager Costica Mihai, of St Catherine’s Avenue, Balby, Doncaster, has been charged with murder and remanded in custody.A 17-year-old boy arrested in connection with the death has since been bailed as inquiries continue, a force spokesman said.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw the vehicle driving between Dunscroft and Wadworth on Friday afternoon. The collision happened at around 1.50pm.A post-mortem examination carried out on Friday evening concluded that the woman, who has not been named, died as a result of multiple injuries.
