A 16-year-old was stabbed by a group of males in Edinburgh, Scotland. Witnesses reported hearing screaming and shouting before police arrived at the scene. Police are investigating the incident and urging anyone with information to come forward.

The 16-year-old was found with serious injuries in Stenhouse Avenue West at 9pm on Sunday. Police were called to the scene after the youngster was chased by a gang of males.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. One resident told how she heard "screaming and shouting" before cops arrived at the scene. The local said: "I heard screaming and shouting coming from one of the flats and then police were suddenly everywhere". Officers have been carrying out door-to-door inquiries in the area and are currently gathering CCTV footage from neighbouring properties.Detective Sergeant Kim Tennant said: “The motive for this attack is unknown and it’s imperative we trace those responsible. I am asking people with information to contact us.
