Officers are trying to piece together what happened

A 19-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a 'fight' in Oldham . Officers were called out to Waterloo Street at 4.30am this morning . Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to reports of a disturbance. Following initial enquiries, police believe that a group had been fighting in the area. The teenager was found by police with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Anyone with information that could help them is being asked to come forward as soon as possible. A GMP spokesperson added: 'Enquires are ongoing to understand the circumstances, and police are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. 'They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage from the area in the moments leading up to the disturbance.
