TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after an NHS worker was hit by a car in an alleged race-hate attack.
The victim was left with a broken leg, nose and cheekbone, and will need plastic surgery to his face and leg. "They seemed to be wearing them to prevent them being identified rather than for health purposes but I could see they were both white and their victim was black.The 21-year-old was rammed by a car as he walked in BristolHero Colin then drove after the attackers but they managed to escape."He was still lying where I'd left him on the pavement covered in blood. His head, back and legs were bleeding heavily.""He was clearly in a lot of pain," Colin said.
Police confirmed they are treating the incident as a racially aggravated assault - and today, two men have been arrested. "A dedicated investigation team was put in place following the incident and continues to carry out enquiries with the support of officers from our Major Crime Investigation Team.
