A Tesla car caught fire in the Riccarton area of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, last night, leaving residents surprised and sparking online debate about electric vehicle safety.
Fire crews rushed to a Tesla that was engulfed in flames in an Ayrshire town last night, leaving residents stunned. Emergency services responded to the incident outside the Beijing Banquet restaurant on Queen's Drive in Kilmarnock 's Riccarton area around 5:58 PM on Saturday, January 4th. That's the third one I've seen on fire.' Another added, 'When are they going to admit these things are dangerous and stop trying to force them on us?' However, a man responded, 'Petrol and diesel vehicles combust every day. I hope everyone is okay.' A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service stated, 'We were called out to the incident at Queen's Drive in the Riccarton area of Kilmarnock last night, Saturday, January 4th, at around 5.58 pm. One appliance was dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire.' Police Scotland confirmed to The Record that they were alerted to the fire and attended to assist with traffic management
