New data has been released by the NHS
We have all been there when trying to get an appointment with our GP. Ring at 7.59am, wait patiently on hold, only to be told at 8.20am that all appointments for the day are filled.
In Northamptonshire, the lowest same-day appointment score across all the GP's sites in the county was just 13.2 per cent. Most surgeries in the bottom 10 had an average wait time of between eight and 14 days to get an appointment.NHS campaigner Ian Syme previously said: "Patient satisfaction has gone down and was already going down before Covid. Accessing the service and getting through on the phone is problematic.
