Shadow Communications Minister Sarah Henderson says “the ABC has completely and utterly lost the plot” after defending its “irresponsible” reporting of town locals holding a crisis meeting in Alice Springs.

“It is pointless dealing with David Anderson, the Editor-in-Chief, they clearly do not understand what it takes to be an impartial journalist,” Ms Henderson told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “Not only should there be an apology and a retraction, as the mayor has called for, there needs to be training of journalists, there needs to be a review and an investigation into what happened.”
