A Japanese restaurant in Glasgow is not only proving popular for its Izakaya-style food offering but is also impressing parents with its hidden soft play area that's ideal for keeping the kids entertained.
The chic restaurant has been gaining traction on social media sites TikTok and Instagram thanks to parents gushing about the fact they are able to enjoy a meal in peace while their kids have fun in the play area.Speaking about the play area when they first launched, a spokesperson for Mikaku said: "A key focus of our expansion is the purpose-built children's play area, designed to encourage social interaction.
And it's not just social media, even the reviewers on Tripadvisor have been happy to discover the play area. "The staff were great, recommending what the kids would probably like and they all loved it. It’s time the UK follow other European countries and offer small portions of the dishes on main menus rather than the usual burgers, Mac n cheese, hotdogs, etc. Will be back."
