Northeast Arkansas News went to Joe Mack Campbell Park where hundreds of people descended from all over the country to watch the total solar eclipse.

Monday April 8 has been on many people's calendar for more than a year. Today Northeast Arkansas News got to speak to a few of the thousands of people who came to Jonesboro to see the total solar eclipse . We were able to talk to different people who came from all over the country to be here, and their reactions to the eclipse were clearly genuine.

“I think it was amazing how dark it got, it just felt like it was the middle of the day, and now it’s night, so it was really amazing," remarked Gary Venca. Olivia Smith from Memphis said, “It was a really good experience. It was a weird feeling but it was good. When it was dark it was different than I expected”.
