Hearty and warming, Irish cuisine is some of the most comforting you’ll find across the globe. While we may be known best for our love of spuds, traditional Irish dishes are often recognised for other staple foods such as fresh seafood, locally sourced meat and dairy, and homemade breads.
Guinness Beef Stew is a deeply rich, warming stew that is essentially comfort in a pot. The sweet slow-cooked beef falls apart in your mouth as you mop up the stout broth with your choice of carb, from creamy mash to bread smeared with Kerrygold. Lower the heat before adding the meat back to the pot. Add 1 heaped teaspoon of plain flour and cook, stirring for 2 minutes.
