Hello, We all know Manchester is no longer a stranger to the £6 pint. Eye watering prices that used to be reserved to the nation’s capital have travelled north, and now a casual few pints in town can easily set you back upwards of £30.

A spokesperson for the AO Arena said the price rise is down to their "standard annual incremental price adjustments" which came into force in September. Sandra Steward was not in attendance at a full council meeting where the department was discussed, but shortly after a council statement confirmed she was stepping down from the £184,767 a year job.
