The One Show viewers were left fuming this evening as they accused the BBC programme of 'nepotism' after host Roman Kemp interviewed his parents Shirlie and Martin
Roman Kemp 's cosy chat with his parents Shirley and Martin on BBC's The One Show has ruffled some feathers, leaving viewers less than impressed as they lounged in front of their tellys.
Flocking to Twitter and other social hubs, viewers aired their grievances loudly and clearly. One viewer blasted: "Feel like #TheOneShow should get the same Ofcom complaints #GMB did with Roman interviewing his parents... like Ed interviewing his wife... the nepotism is real." And yet another added their voice to the mix, pointing out: "Tonight on #TheOneShow, nepo kid Roman Kemp interviews his parents Martin and Shirlie at his workplace."
Last month, it was revealed that ITV's chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall had to explain herself after GMB presenter Ed Balls interviewed his wife and Home Secretary Yvette Cooper on air. Following a tidal wave of Ofcom complaints, she gave her word to the broadcasting standards authority that such an incident wouldn't reoccur.
