The One Show host Alex Jones shares three children with her husband Charlie and has opened up about the realities she faces as being a working mum over the years
Since joining The One Show back in 2010, Alex Jones has become a recognisable figure on TV. Having made her The One Show debut alongside comedian Jason Manford, since then Alex, 47, has been joined by a whole range of co-hosts on the iconic sofa including Matt Baker, Roman Kemp and Alex Scott.
“Took Ted to work yesterday. He's been asking for ages to come and I think it's important that he can imagine where I am at night because I'm not there to do bedtime very often. The mum guilt is very real but yesterday was special,” she wrote. “It is such a brilliant island for young children. Everything is very easy but there is also plenty to do to keep all ages occupied.”
“All I can do is my best. I feel massive guilt about not being able to put the kids to bed every night. I tell them I'd love to be able to read them a story every night, but my work happens at that time, and I have to work so we can do nice things at weekends. There's no way around it.”
