Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has made a 'historic' donation to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, in a welcome relief to help the livelihoods of members of the union who continue to strike.

Johnson's representatives reached out after the letter was sent, explaining the actor was keen to make a donation. "It’s the largest single donation that we’ve ever received from one individual at one time," Ms Wilson said in the interview with Variety. Vance said he spoke with Johnson on the phone after his team reached out, before coming through with a seven-figure donation.
