The bedbug infestation currently plaguing Paris looks set to get worse, with a possible sighting on UK public transport
A woman is claiming that she saw a 'bed bug' crawling up her leg on London underground, stoking fears that the outbreak in Paris is already here in the UK.
That doesn't mean that we shouldn't all be taking some precautions, as Paris is only a couple of hours away on the Eurostar and the bloodsucking insects can, unfortunately, easily survive the length of that journey. Bedbugs, as mutants, are also resistant to pesticides, so they're hard to kill once they've got into your home.
"Always inspect second hand furniture. Before bringing in used furniture, mattresses, or bedding into your home, thoroughly inspect them for signs of bed bugs. Look for live bugs, shed skins, or small reddish-brown faecal stains, and always give everything a thorough wash before using it.
