In his column for the Daily Record, Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar criticises last week's SNP Government Budget.
“This Scottish budget is even more disappointing than we feared it would be. Scottish Care called for a budget that cares. This is a budget that kills.”
I called for the SNP to follow Labour’s lead and extend business rates relief to hospitality, retail and leisure – but retail and leisure businesses have missed out and key engines of growth have been cut. But yet again these warnings have been ignored. One in six Scots are on an NHS waiting list and hospitals are in disarray.
They are a government that has long since lost its way. This is a government without a plan, only interested in inputs and not in outputs.
